Naomi Barwick

A Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle awarded in May 1991 completed the formal education for Naomi and well and truly kick-started the fully-fledged accounting career with Gowing & Co.

Lea Byers

A Bachelor of Science in Commerce, with Honours, from the University of San Carlos in the Philippines was the start of a career that brought Lea to Australia working with a number of companies before joining Gowing & Co in 1988.

Along the way Lea gained the CPA Qualification in the Philippines, a Bachelor of Business, Accounting Major from the University of Southern Queensland and the CPA Qualification from the Australian Society of CPA’s

Continuing education is exceedingly important in order to keep up to date with the changes that effect all professional associations and Lea accepts this as a necessity for herself and ensures all staff in Gowing & Co are aware of just what is happening that we need to recognise and understand.

Brenda Daniel

Brenda completed a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New England, majoring in Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. Brenda joined Gowing & Co in September 2004 where she has become a valued member of our team.

Roslyn Smith

Roslyn started with us in June 2005 and brings with her many years of experience with Chartered Accountancy firms. Roslyn specialises in taxation and business services and self managed super funds. Roslyn’s extensive experience is supported by her accreditation as a Professional National Accountant (PNA) with the National Institute of Accountants (NIA). She has also recently become a MYOB Certified Consultant within our firm and is looking forward to working with those clients, enabling them to use MYOB to the fullest extent possible.

Roslyn’s commitment to her profession has her undertaking specialised tax related study with the University of New South Wales, leading to a Masters Degree.

Leanne Wilton

Leanne started with Gowing & Co in 1998 after some preliminary studies in Business Studies, Office Administration and Bookkeeping. During school Leanne always liked maths so it is a natural lead in to working in an accounting office. Looking after the reception and being the firm’s first point of contact with clients are the prime areas of Leanne’s responsibilities as well as ensuring that a host of other activities are up to date to allow the firm to run smoothly.
